About this board game

Cathood is a 2–4 player area-control, pick-up-and-deliver, and set-collection game that plays in about 60 minutes. Each player becomes one of eight lovely cats, each with its own personality, competing to become the most beloved cat in the neighborhood.

Move through a modular neighborhood that constantly changes as you explore. Meet humans, collect toys, visit parks, and establish your territory to earn points. Managing the right resources is essential, while the changing map adds a puzzly challenge that rewards careful orientation and thoughtful movement.

Every turn offers meaningful choices. Walk through the streets or leap across the roofs, stop at a cat café to exchange resources, or hiss at another player to steal from their personal supply. You can also learn new tricks, complete secret objectives, visit important places first, and expand your influence before your rivals do.

• Action management: your available actions depend on the number of discs in front of you.

Creating the right synergy between your actions is key to a winning strategy. With its interactive choices, shifting layout, and cat-inspired decisions, Cathood encourages players to think and interact like cats. The game was one of five finalists in the “I Concurso de creación de juegos Zacatrus” and was released in 2025.
