Cthulhu Wars: The Dreamlands Surface Monster Pack

Cthulhu Wars: The Dreamlands Surface Monster Pack is a monster expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Released in 2015, it adds nine creatures—Shantaks, Gnorri, and Moonbeasts—to the game.

Both Dreamlands Monster expansions can be used with any map. They are also compatible with the Dreamlands map, but are not limited to it, giving these unusual forces a place in any map-based game of Cthulhu Wars.

Every monster has a special ability described on its loyalty card. These powers give each creature a distinct role and introduce new possibilities for moving units, pursuing victory, and disrupting opposing players.

• 2 Shantaks: These creatures can carry a Cultist when they move. For 1 Power, you can move two units together, provided one is a Cultist and the other is a Shantak.
• 3 Gnorri: Lovecraft’s little-described amphibious horrors provide a new boost towards victory.
• 4 Moonbeasts: Their particularly obnoxious special power makes them the bane of the other players.

With its mix of mobility, victory-related benefits, and irritating interference, the pack gives Cthulhu Wars players three different kinds of supernatural threat to add to their battles. The Dreamlands Surface Monster Pack is designed as a flexible addition rather than a map-exclusive one, so its monsters can appear wherever your game takes place.
