About this board game

Damage Report is a 2–6-player, simultaneous, real-time co-operative game about surviving catastrophic starship damage, with games lasting around 45 minutes. Each player takes the role of a crew member facing urgent problems and making split-second decisions to keep the ship—and the crew—alive.

There are no conventional turns that wait for one player to finish. Instead, your turn never ends; your actions are limited only by what you can accomplish during 15-, 30-, 45-, or 60-second intervals. Every player uses a timer, moving it down a track according to the current turn interval.

In most scenarios, the turn interval is determined by the condition of the Life Support system. As the system becomes more damaged, players have less air to “breathe,” and their turns are extended because actions take longer to complete. The result is a tense race to respond while events continue to develop around the table.

The simultaneous format also changes how co-operative play feels. With minimal feedback during the action, players must make decisions independently instead of waiting for the group to agree. This helps prevent groupthink and makes it harder for one player to simply run the show.

  • Modular board: Board pieces create a different experience for each scenario.
  • Scenario-based play: Every scenario has its own success and failure conditions.
  • Standard Edition: Includes three scenarios.
  • Future expansion potential: Additional scenarios are planned, including a 7–10-player expansion.

With its real-time pressure, changing Life Support limits, and modular structure, Damage Report puts every crew member on the spot as the ship’s situation deteriorates.
