Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition) – Zarihell Lieutenant Pack is a Descent campaign expansion for 2–5 players, released in 2015. It introduces Zarihell, an ancient elf with powerful command over the spirits of the dead, along with a ten-card Eternal Agony Plot deck.

Zarihell is old beyond knowing and exists within Waiqar’s domain, though she serves no master other than herself. In another campaign across Terrinoth, players may persuade her to join their cause, bringing the corrupting influence of the Mistlands into the adventure.

The Eternal Agony Plot deck focuses on dismantling heroes piece by piece. Its effects punish particular actions and wear down a hero’s ability to endure, creating pressure long before the final blow. For example, Pins and Needles can be used when a hero suffers exactly one damage, forcing that hero to suffer two additional damage and one fatigue.

When Zarihell deigns to enter the battle, her dark magic inflicts excruciating agony on nearby heroes and interferes with their tactical options. Her ability to take a soul captive adds another unsettling threat, allowing her to make an attack with a hero before that hero falls.

Whether used to punish surge spending, drain stamina, or create a dramatic final attack, the Zarihell Lieutenant Pack gives a Descent campaign a cruel supernatural edge.
