Dominion: Die Intrige – Erweiterung is a deck-building expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 30 minutes. It requires the Dominion base game or Dominion: Base Cards to play.

As in Dominion, every player begins with an identical, very small deck. During the game, a selection of cards is available in the center of the table, and players can buy these cards when they can afford them.

Each purchase helps shape a player’s deck. Cards are drawn into hands, and players decide how to play those hands as they appear, creating an evolving approach to deck construction rather than following a fixed plan from the beginning.

The central challenge is finding the most efficient path to victory points before the game ends. Choosing which cards to buy and making the best use of each drawn hand are both essential parts of the experience.
