About this board game
Drakon (Second Edition) is a tile-laying and movement game for 2–6 players, with a playing time of approximately 40 minutes. In the role of adventurers trapped in a dragon’s lair, players race through Drakon’s magical maze to collect ten gold and earn their freedom.
The old dragon Drakon has captured a band of adventurers who entered her lair to steal her treasure. Rather than eating them immediately, she sends them into her mad vaulted chambers and turns their escape into a contest: the first adventurer to gather ten gold goes free, while the rest become lunch.
On each turn, a player chooses one of two options. They may place a chamber tile from their hand onto the board to expand the dungeon, or move their Hero to an adjacent tile. This creates a constantly developing maze for the trapped adventurers to explore.
Many chamber tiles display an icon that grants a special action when a player enters that space. These effects can change the race for treasure in several ways, including taking gold from Drakon’s hoard, stealing gold from another player, or destroying a tile already in play.
- For 2–6 players
- Approximately 40 minutes of play

With its expanding dungeon, character movement, and interactive chamber effects, Drakon places every adventurer in a desperate race for the same goal: collect ten gold before anyone else escapes the dragon’s lair.
