About this expansion

Dungeon Lords: The New Paladins is a 2012 mini expansion for 2–4 players, with a listed play time of 90 minutes. It replaces the original Paladin with new pairs of determined enemies: a slender elf and a robust dwarf.

The original Paladin has left for a touring lecture series, but his departure does not make the fight against Evil any easier. At the start of each year, leave the original Paladin in the box and place an elf-and-dwarf pair on the tent.

The new visitors create a contest around the evilometer. The first player to cross the paladin line receives the elf. If another player crosses the line, compare the two players’ positions: the less evil player receives the elf, while the other takes the more difficult dwarf.

  • Replace the original Paladin with new paladin pairs.
  • Place the elf and dwarf on the tent at the start of each year.
  • Use the evilometer to determine who receives each paladin.
  • The elf is worth 4 points at the end of the game, while the dwarf is worth 6.

With its contrasting elf and dwarf visitors, Dungeon Lords: The New Paladins adds a fresh twist to the familiar paladin confrontation. Players must watch who crosses the line first—and who is considered less evil when the next challenger appears.
