About this expansion

Dungeon Twister: Fire and Water is a two-player expansion for the Dungeon Twister series, with games lasting approximately 60 minutes. Released in 2005, it is the third expansion in the series.

Fire and Water expands the game with a substantial collection of new content. It includes 8 new characters, 6 new objects, and 8 new rooms, providing fresh elements for Dungeon Twister scenarios.

  • 8 new characters
  • 6 new objects
  • 8 new rooms
  • 2 additional bonus rooms in the English edition

The English edition also includes two bonus “P2” rooms featuring new terrain: the Lava Channel and the Lava Evacuator. These features introduce a map-changing lava flow mechanic tied to the cards players have played.

A Lava Evacuator is a four-space obstacle that connects to Lava Channels and controls lava flows on the map. Whenever a player has a 5 AP card visible on top of their discard pile—the last card played—all Evacuators on the map activate and fill the Lava Channels.

Before activation, a Lava Channel is considered normal floor. Once the Lava Evacuators are activated, the channels become impassable to all characters except the Fire Elemental and flying or incorporeal characters. Those characters may cross the lava flows, but may not stop on them.

With its new rooms, components, and terrain rules, Dungeon Twister: Fire and Water adds a distinctive environmental hazard to the series while keeping the focus on tactical movement and the timing of played action-point cards.
