About this expansion

Dungeon Twister: Paladins & Dragons is a 2004 expansion for two players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. It adds new characters, items, and rooms while using the existing Dungeon Twister rules.

Each player can build a different team, creating new surprises from one game to the next. The expansion also changes how the dungeon is revealed: its eight new rooms are chosen secretly, so each player knows only four of the eight rooms they will encounter.

To survive, you must create a fully versatile team capable of handling the unexpected abilities and dangers hidden in the dungeon. New characters bring a broad range of strengths and specialist powers:

  • The Paladin can transport two items and use the Dragon Slayer sword and fire protection shield.
  • The Red Dragon has strength 6, is too heavy to move, and awards 2 victory points to the hero who kills it.
  • The Ghost cannot transport items but can move through all terrain elements.
  • The Illusionist can create illusions of traps or boulder collapses.
  • The Weapon Master is highly skilled with weapons and can often predict opponents’ movements and attacks.
  • The Golem is strong and slow like the troll, cannot regenerate, and can smash down three walls during the game.
  • The Elf Scout has movement 7 and can jump over pits, but has strength 1.
  • The Pickpocket specializes in stealing items from an opponent.

New equipment includes the teleportation ring, charm scroll, fire protection shield, key, rope, and Dragon Slayer sword. New locations include the Fountain of Youth, cliffs, and the pentacle room. With its hidden room selection and expanded team-building options, Dungeon Twister: Paladins & Dragons adds fresh uncertainty to every dungeon encounter.
