About this board game
Eldertide: A Thousand Lights is a pick-and-deliver board game for 1–5 players, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes, released in 2026. Each player leads one of five houses from a once-mighty seafaring nation seeking to reclaim its homeland from a supernatural storm that has raged for decades.
Command a Foundation Ship as you sail between scattered Ports, collecting and transporting valuable resources across the archipelago. Careful route planning and resource management are essential as you decide how best to use every shipment.
Resources can be exported for immediate points or invested in constructing Facilities on your own Outposts. Building your network creates opportunities for more explosive endgame scoring, but choosing when to sell and when to develop is central to your plans.
- Lead one of five houses in a shared seafaring setting.
- Sail between Ports to collect and deliver resources.
- Export resources for points or invest them in Outpost Facilities.
- Respond to a Storm that can break Ports and threaten ships.
- Help rebuild a network of ancient-tech lighthouses across the scattered isles.
The Storm is more than a backdrop. It acts as a persistent hindrance, breaking Ports that may later be rebuilt while posing a direct threat to ships themselves. Its impact forces players to adapt their routes and manage risk as they work toward restoring balance.
Set in the opening chapter of a connected trilogy, Eldertide: A Thousand Lights combines resource movement, fluctuating market elements, and civilization building. Every voyage contributes to the larger effort to retake the archipelago and restore its ancient lighthouse network.
