Fresco: Expansion Modules 8, 9 and 10

About this expansion

Fresco: Expansion Modules 8, 9 and 10 is a set of three additional expansions for Fresco, supporting 2–4 players in games lasting around 90 minutes. Released in 2013, these modules can be played individually or combined with any or all other Fresco expansions.

Each module introduces a different challenge or opportunity for the fresco painters. Together, they give players more ways to approach the work of restoring the cathedral fresco while adding new considerations to the game.

• The Bells: The bishop wants a new bell for the cathedral. Players can buy “bell certificates” to contribute, gaining prestige immediately and receiving additional prestige at the end of the game based on how their contribution compares with everyone else’s.
• The Wall Fresco: By refreshing sections of a wall fresco, players can gain fame, glory, and a regular paint supply. This can help them save money while continuing their work.
• The Medico: Restoring the fresco on schedule becomes more difficult when apprentices begin falling ill one after another. Skillful planning and healing drugs purchased from a traveling medico at the market can help players finish the work on time.

These modules offer varied additions to the Fresco experience, from competing for prestige through bell certificates to managing paint supplies and responding to illness among the apprentices. Their modular design makes it easy to tailor each game to the combination of challenges and opportunities you want to include.

Whether used separately or alongside other expansions, Fresco: Expansion Modules 8, 9 and 10 gives fresco painters three distinct ways to enrich the cathedral restoration challenge.
