About this board game

Godzilla: Tokyo Clash is a 2–4 player kaiju battle game with approximately 45 minutes of play time, first released in 2020. Players take control of legendary monsters and fight for dominance across a modular Tokyo cityscape filled with 3D buildings to destroy.

Choose from Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah, or Megalon, with each kaiju bringing a unique deck of cards to the battle. These individual decks shape each monster’s available actions as the fight unfolds, giving every kaiju its own way to attack and cause damage.

Combat is wonderfully destructive. Monsters can attack opponents directly or hurl objects such as trains and tanks at them. Damage can also burn cards out of an opponent’s deck, reducing their options on future turns and making every successful attack matter beyond the immediate clash.

As the monsters stomp through the city, they can earn energy. This energy helps them lay out permanent enhancements to their abilities, adding another way to develop a kaiju during the fight.
