About this expansion
Great Western Trail: Second Edition – Rails To The North is an expansion for 1–4 players with an approximately 150-minute play time, released in 2022. It extends the rail network farther north, creating new opportunities to deliver cattle beyond the locations available before.
With the rails reaching new destinations, you can deliver your cattle to cities outside American borders. These locations can offer highly advantageous rewards, but reaching them requires additional work and effort. Constructing branchlets gives you more opportunities to deliver and claim different rewards as the network develops.
Much of the content in Rails to the North was included in the original expansion, but this Second Edition version has been reworked and upgraded. Its revised presentation and updated materials add fresh detail to the northern rail routes.
