About this board game

Hacienda is a strategy board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Set in Argentina, it casts players as ranchers competing to develop land, raise animals, and earn the most points.

Players acquire land and place tiles to create valuable ranches. Connecting tiles into long chains is one way to score, while linking those chains to water provides another route to points. The landscape you build is central to every decision.

Ranchers can also construct haciendas, herd animals to markets, and sell them for points and money. With several scoring opportunities available, players must balance expanding their land with developing connections and moving livestock toward profitable markets.

This 2019 second edition is a revised and upgraded version of the game that debuted in 2005. It features new artwork and includes two double-sided game boards, offering four different boards in total, including a board designed for two players.

Each board includes special rules, adding variety across games. The box also contains two variants, giving players additional ways to experience Hacienda. When the game ends, the player with the most points wins.
