About this board game

Hexemonia is a strategy game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes, set during the height of ancient Greece. Each player leads a growing Greek city-state in a relentless competition for supremacy over rival cities.

Develop your city and make it prosper by expanding across the land, controlling the resources it produces, and accumulating wealth. Rival city-states compete through commerce, architecture, religion, art, and war as they seek to establish their influence.

To build the most successful city-state, pursue several paths to prosperity:

• Expand your city and strengthen its development.
• Control land and resources to support your growing power.
• Use military might to overcome rivals and conquer neighboring lands.
• Rely on cultural might and seek the favor of the gods.
• Accumulate wealth as you work toward lasting supremacy.

Hexemonia captures the competitive spirit of the Greek city-states, where no single route to greatness is enough on its own. Expansion, resources, wealth, military strength, culture, conquest, and divine favor all contribute to the rise of your civilization.

At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins. Lead your city-state through the struggle for control of the land and claim the greatest glory among the competing powers of ancient Greece.
