About this board game

Island Siege: Second Edition is a fast-playing game of fort-building and colonization in the Caribbean Sea for 1–4 players, with a listed play time of 48 minutes.

Players build shoreside forts to defend their colonists from attack and score points. Forts also allow colonists to enter play; once in play, colonists can safely build ships and buildings that provide abilities and points.

Attacking an opponent lets you chip away at their fort while gaining cubes. These cubes are used to construct forts of your own, creating a direct connection between conflict and expansion. The game ends when a player scores 20 coins or gets all of their colonists in play.

• Features deluxe two-layer imperial boards with an island quarry for accumulated stones and a port for docking a ship.

The anniversary edition presents the game with thick cardboard imperial boards and indentations designed to help keep pieces from shifting. It also includes two sets of Kickstarter-exclusive metal Campaign Coins, 26 coins in total; the retail version contains cardboard punch-board coins instead.
