About this board game

Jewels for the Emperor Penguin is a gem-gathering board game for 2–5 players that plays in about 45 minutes.

Each player takes charge of a five-member penguin guild competing in the icy Valley of the Emperor Penguin. The guild must scale the valley’s icy walls while gathering the precious gems needed to satisfy the Emperor’s love of jewelry.

Four types of gems are available to collect and exchange:

• Emeralds
• Rubies
• Sapphires
• Diamonds

Gathering gems is only part of the challenge. Players make advantageous exchanges to acquire the specific gem-recipes required for their objectives, turning the available treasures into a path toward fantastic jewelry.

Objective cards represent the jewelry coveted by the Emperor Penguin. To claim these cards, players need to obtain the right recipes and assemble the required gem combinations, making each exchange an important part of their progress.

Released in 2024, Jewels for the Emperor Penguin combines penguin guilds, an icy climb, colorful gems, and recipe-based objectives in a focused game for groups of two to five. Its central aim is clear: gather the right resources, make useful trades, and claim the jewelry the Emperor wants.
