About this expansion

Joyride: Downtown is an exclusive expansion for 2–4 players, offering a 60-minute racing experience with three new additions to your races. Released in 2024, it brings new ways to affect the track and your opponents during the race.

Drive the taxi and earn fares at every checkpoint. Once collected, those fares can be cashed in for flexible effects, giving the taxi a distinctive role as it moves through the race.

The expansion also introduces the Spike Strip. Drop it onto the track to shred your opponents’ tires and limit their options, creating another way to interfere with competing racers.

Finally, scatter trashcans around the track. These obstacles litter the board with unpredictable effects that can emerge mid-race, adding an uncertain element to each run through Downtown.
