About this expansion
King’s Forge: Queen’s Jubilee is a 2014 expansion for 2–4 players that adds an alternate, faster-playing card set to the King’s Forge board game, with a play time of about 60 minutes. It places players in the kingdom’s annual celebration of the union of the five Duchies.
The Queen’s Jubilee culminates in the Fealty Ceremony, where gifts are presented to the five Dukes. Craftsmen and women compete to be the first to craft five items from the list posted in the castle plaza, earning the honor of standing beside the King and Queen during the ceremony.
This expansion includes 30 alternate craft cards that can replace the base game’s craft-card deck. It also adds three Gather Cards and an additional Conjurer Gather Card, which comes with four special clear dice.
- Festival: Reroll two dice.
- Merchant: Choose one of four available options.
- Monastery: Either option lets you skip the storage card and place new dice directly into your crafting supply for the current round.
- Gypsy Camp: Trade for two immediate Wood or pre-roll some dice to look ahead.
- Conjurer: Trade extra dice for a magic die, or give every player a clear die as a limited wild.
The clear die must match the color of one die rolled during crafting and is returned at the end of the round. The player who selects Conjurer receives an additional +2 bonus, while opponents who do not craft that round gain no benefit from their clear die.
With its alternate cards and special dice, King’s Forge: Queen’s Jubilee offers a fresh way to approach the race for five crafted gifts while preserving the royal ceremony theme.
