Magic: The Gathering Challenge Deck – Battle the Horde is a cooperative challenge for 1–2 players, facing their Magic decks against a programmed army of rampaging Minotaurs.

Players work together to defeat every card in the challenge deck before running out of health. Each player must bring a Magic: The Gathering deck, while the challenge deck provides the opposing force and its own automated sequence of play.

Unlike a standard Magic deck, the challenge deck does not play cards normally. Instead, on each turn, a card is drawn and its effect is applied immediately, creating a direct and structured battle against the horde.

The cards in Battle the Horde are not designed to be mixed with standard Magic cards and feature a distinct card back. Players play their own cards against this separate challenge deck as they attempt to withstand the Minotaur assault.
