Mice and Mystics: Downwood Tales is a big-box adventure expansion for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting about 90 minutes. It takes the heroes beyond familiar surroundings and into the great outdoors for a storybook journey filled with whimsy, danger, and discovery.

Downwood Tales adds a new storybook, story arcs, location tiles, search deck items, equipment, and a large collection of miniatures. The adventure introduces new heroes, villains, and minions, along with a host of new mechanics that expand the Mice & Mystics experience.

Along the way, the heroes encounter frogs, turtles, rabbits, and the wise sages known as the three blind mice. They can even ride leaves like parachutes out of the trees, adding an especially playful touch to this woodland adventure.

A standout addition is Jakobe, a gecko who is anything but ordinary. As a smooth operator, forest ranger, and lizard for hire, Jakobe leads the heroes through some of the greatest dangers they will ever face.
