About this board game
Myraclia is a strategy game for 2–5 players that takes about 55 minutes, challenging you to transform a deserted planet into a beautiful world full of life.
Planet Myraclia is barren, inhospitable, and controlled by chaotic natural elements. As a player with divine powers, you must gather limited resources, organize them correctly, and terraform the planet before your rivals can claim the best opportunities.
The game unfolds over a series of rounds, each divided into two key phases:
- Drafting: Players take turns selecting glittering cubes from the drafting board. The available elements change from round to round, making previously unwanted resources suddenly scarce and valuable. Your choices also determine the player order for the next phase.
- Terraforming: In order, players spend the required elements shown on a deserted hexagonal tile and flip it to its terraformed side. Conversions can provide points and release additional elements, which may be used immediately.
The surface of Myraclia is made from hexagonal tiles representing plains, forests, water areas, and mountains. Timing and resource combinations matter: players may exchange their elements for another player’s unused resources, so careful planning is essential even when you draft early.
Terraforming also lets players reveal new parts of the planet by choosing tiles from the offer. The game ends when a player has terraformed seven parts of Myraclia or when the tile offer can no longer be replenished.
Final scoring rewards more than individual conversions. Players consider the planet’s completed appearance, their longest consecutive terraformed area, the variety of surfaces they transformed, and the size of their individual surface types. In Myraclia, the race to create a living world remains uncertain until the final moment.
