Pagan: Ancestors is a 2023 expansion pack for two players that transforms the dynamics of the base game by placing its villagers at the center of play.

Rather than revolving around two dominant institutions controlled by the players, the expansion emphasizes villagers with varied trades and strategies. Their skills alter familiar approaches and challenge you to reconsider how the game’s cards can be used and monitored.

The villagers create a shifting strategic landscape. As accusations fly, they become increasingly unstable, adding pressure to decisions and making it important to keep careful track of the cards in play. This focus gives the expansion a distinct character while changing the way known strategies work.

Cards of the Ancestors includes content for seven scenarios, expanding the experience with new possibilities across the game. The set contains:

• 7 scenarios, numbered 3–9
• 21 new villagers across 7 factions
• 2 Deck Cards for each side

With its emphasis on villagers, trades, factions, and card awareness, Pagan: Ancestors invites players to explore a different balance of strategies. The expansion is designed to challenge established expectations and reward close attention as accusations change the villagers’ stability.
