Petrichor: Cows

About this expansion

Petrichor: Cows is an expansion for 1–4 players that adds a new action, a Climate mechanic, and fresh crop tiles to the cloud-faring strategy game Petrichor, with an approximate play time of 80 minutes.

With cows entering the picture, their byproducts become part of the challenge. Manure improves the quality of crops, while Methane Gas affects the world climate. Together, these additions create new considerations as players work with the changing conditions around their crops.

The new Graze action lets players influence the cows and nudge the world’s climate toward conditions that support the crops they intend to grow. Climate also introduces a fresh set of climate-sensitive trees, adding four new varieties to the expansion:

• Norway Spruce
• Baobab
• Date Palm
• Sweet Chestnut

As the final expansion to Petrichor, Petrichor: Cows brings a decidedly bovine spin to the game’s cloud-slinging, water-sprinkling action. Its new systems and tiles give players additional ways to interact with cows, crops, and the world’s climate.

The expansion can be combined with either or both of the previous expansions, Petrichor: Flowers and Petrichor: Honeybee, for an expanded experience. Its content is also supported when using the Southern Winds solo mode, making the cows and climate mechanics available in solo play as well.
