About this expansion

Railroad Ink: Electricity Expansion Pack is an expansion for the multiplayer puzzle game Railroad Ink, designed for 1–4 players and playable in about 30 minutes.

Your objective in Railroad Ink is to connect as many exits on your board as possible. Each round, a set of dice is rolled in the middle of the table, and the resulting road and railway routes are available to all players.

This expansion adds four special dice to use alongside your regular Route dice. They introduce two electricity-focused ways to develop your board and score points:

• Street Lamp: Two dice let you build Street Lamps and power them with Generators to light your board and score points.
• Power Grid: Two dice let you connect your Exits to the central Accumulator and charge it with electricity to multiply your bonus points.

The shared dice results continue to define which route options are available each round, while the Electricity Expansion Pack adds new possibilities to consider as you connect your network. Street Lamps and Generators create one scoring opportunity, while the Power Grid links Exits to the Accumulator for multiplied bonus points.

Use the four special electricity dice with at least one core set of Railroad Ink or Railroad Ink Challenge. The expansion was released in 2021 and requires one of those core sets to play.

With its additional dice and distinct electricity systems, Railroad Ink: Electricity Expansion Pack offers new ways to approach the route-building puzzle while keeping the shared-dice structure at the heart of the game.
