About this board game
Rapidough is a Pictionary-style team game for 4–99 players, played in around 30 minutes. Players use their own team’s colored dough to model words while rival teams race to identify their creations.
Each round, players from every team sit side by side and look at the same word card. Some cards show one neutral-colored word for everyone to model. Others show three neutral-colored words, allowing each modeler to choose freely. The most restrictive cards list three words in three different colors, so each player can model only the word matching their dough color.
Every modeler starts by placing a ball of dough on a plastic mat, using the outlined starting positions for their hands. Then everyone models simultaneously. As soon as a team shouts the correct word, it can use a plastic extracting tool to take an amount of dough from an opponent’s model. The winning team may also reclaim a previously extracted amount.
- Team-based word modeling with colored dough
- Three different word-card formats
- Simultaneous sculpting and guessing
- Dough extraction that can change each team’s position
Players must pay close attention to their teammates’ work. A team can lose by calling out a color-coded word that another member of the same team is modeling, adding an extra risk to quick guesses.
In Rapidough, teams continue competing until one side loses all its dough. The team with the most dough at that point wins, making every model, guess, and extracted piece important.
