Sentinels of the Multiverse: Dark Visionary Promo Card is a 2013 promotional addition for 2–5 players, with a listed play time of 45 minutes. It introduces a darker version of Vanessa Long, the psychic hero known as Visionary.

Less than a year after wrenching herself backward through time, Vanessa feels the consequences of her actions. Daily migraines, constant pain, and a scattered mind make it increasingly difficult for her to focus on the present reality. Something else came back with her: a dark version of herself that feeds on her suffering.

During a battle against the dreaded GloomWeaver, Visionary uses a telekinetic cocoon to protect herself from arcane cultists. When the barrier shatters in a burst of green energy, a pale, maniacally grinning Vanessa emerges and banishes GloomWeaver from the realm with a dismissive gesture.

Although this new Visionary looks and feels different, she still recognizes the heroes and fights alongside them. She insists that she is fine—and even claims to feel better than ever. Her allies, however, must contend with the unsettling presence of the darkness that now shares her mind.
