Spirit Island: Sonnenheller Wirbelwind is a low-complexity spirit for 1–6 players, with a listed play time of 120 minutes.

Sun-Bright Whirlwind specializes in handling Explorers. Its strength lies in clearing newly-Explored lands of Invaders, preventing them from Building there and helping keep newly threatened areas under control.

This focused ability comes with a clear limitation: the spirit is not nearly as effective against Towns and Cities. Success depends on making the most of its strengths while recognizing where it needs support.

• Focus on Energy and largely set aside the Innate Power.
• Focus on Plays to pursue mid-to-high Innate thresholds.
• Take a more balanced path between Energy, Plays, and the Innate Power.

There is an important constraint behind these choices. Sun-Bright Whirlwind can add at most one Presence per turn, so there is not enough time to develop every aspect of its capabilities. Choosing a direction and committing to it is central to playing the spirit effectively.

Spirit Island: Sonnenheller Wirbelwind was released in 2023. It is the same spirit included in Horizons of Spirit Island; in Germany, it was also published as a standalone product.
