About this expansion

Star Wars: The Card Game – Ready for Takeoff is a two-player Force Pack for battles lasting about 60 minutes, released in 2015. It brings the interstellar combat of Star Wars into focus, with Vehicles and Pilots facing off in the vacuum of outer space.

As the first Force Pack in the Rogue Squadron cycle, Ready for Takeoff shifts attention from planetary firefights to fierce starfighter dogfights. Heroes and ace pilots take to the skies, where skill, nerve, and the right crew can determine the outcome of a battle.

The pack introduces new ways to use your faction’s iconic starships. New mechanics for piloting Vehicles let players experience the challenge of getting crews to their fighters and putting their craft into action.

  • Iconic pilots including Lando Calrissian and “Mauler” Mithel
  • A new fate card
  • New mechanics for piloting Vehicles
  • Ten new objective sets, with two copies each of five unique sets
  • Objective sets numbered 141–145

Whether you fly for Rogue Squadron or Black Squadron, the Force Pack offers a new perspective on the battles of Star Wars. Ready for Takeoff is designed for players who want to bring Vehicles, Pilots, and iconic starships to the forefront of their card game.
