StarCraft: Brood War Promotional Leadership Cards

About this expansion

StarCraft: Brood War Promotional Leadership Cards is a downloadable expansion for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 180 minutes. Released in 2008, it adds Gerard DuGalle of the United Earth Directorate as a new Terran faction.

This optional expansion requires both StarCraft: The Board Game and its expansion, StarCraft: Brood War. It includes rules for the United Earth Directorate and a new Leadership Deck designed to bring this faction into the game.

The Leadership Deck introduces special effects and character-focused abilities. Examples from the included decks include:

• Eliminate Alien Threat: a special victory condition that grants 1 conquest point each time you destroy an enemy base.
• General DuGalle: a hero card that lets you place a Battlecruiser with a hero token underneath it in any friendly area.

To use the new faction, the player chooses one available Terran color, either red or blue, and uses all matching components throughout the game. Once that color has been selected, the other players may not choose the unused faction of the matching color.

StarCraft: Brood War Promotional Leadership Cards offers an additional Terran faction and optional card-driven rules for groups using the original game together with the Brood War expansion. It originally appeared in the Fantasy Flight Games news section and expands both StarCraft: The Board Game and StarCraft: Brood War.
