About this board game

Steam Power: Deluxe Edition is a railway network and contract game for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Players race to build the best rail network while meeting contractual obligations and earning as much money as possible.

On each turn, choose two actions from the available options. You can lay tracks, build factories, fulfill contracts, earn money, or collect additional contracts. Every decision helps shape your network while moving you closer to the conditions that end the game.

• Fulfill contracts to advance the game toward its conclusion.
• Earn money and collect more contracts as opportunities arise.

Factories create resources that are available to all players, but access comes at a price. This shared supply gives the board a competitive economic dimension: one player’s development can create opportunities that others may use, provided they are willing to pay.

The game ends when a specified number of contracts have been fulfilled, with that requirement varying according to the number of players. The winner is the player with the most points, including money converted into points.

Steam Power: Deluxe Edition includes a four-map expansion in the box, offering additional map content alongside the core experience. Its components have also been upgraded from those in the Steam Power base game, making this edition the enhanced way to build routes, manage resources, complete contracts, and pursue the highest score.
