About this expansion

Teotihuacan: City of Gods – Decoration Tiles is an expansion for 1–4 players with a listed play time of 120 minutes. It adds three new Decoration tiles featuring a special Decoration symbol.

The special Decoration symbol offers flexible matching. When matching the covered icon beneath it, the symbol counts as a generic icon, allowing it to match accordingly.

When one of these special symbols covers a generic icon, it provides the normal reward of 1 Victory Point. In addition, you may advance on any one temple of your choice, giving the tiles an extra benefit beyond standard decoration scoring.

• Three new Decoration tiles
• A special symbol that counts as a generic icon when matching the covered icon
• 1 Victory Point when the special symbol covers a generic icon
• The option to advance on any one temple in that situation

This expansion exists in two versions. One version contains three cardboard tiles and was released as a promo in the Sierra West box. The other version contains wooden tiles and also includes wooden replacement tiles for the cardboard tiles from the base game.

In 2020, the expansion became available as part of the Teotihuacan: City of Gods – Promo Bundle. Teotihuacan: City of Gods – Decoration Tiles provides a compact addition centered on tile matching, Victory Points, and temple advancement.
