About this expansion

Teotihuacan: Shadow of Xitle is an expansion for 1–4 players, with a play time of 120 minutes, that adds new technologies and starting options to the Teotihuacan experience.

The eruption of Xitle buried and destroyed the significant civic and religious cities of Cuicuilco and Copilco. Survivors scattered across Mesoamerica, with many settling in and around Teotihuacan. Their arrival accelerates the city’s growth and contributes to the adoption of new technologies as Teotihuacan establishes itself as a regional seat of power.

Shadow of Xitle introduces ten new technologies, doubling the number of possible technologies in the game. These additions enhance advanced strategies and bring greater variety to repeated plays.

During setup, six technologies are randomly chosen as usual. With the expanded selection, each game can present a different combination of available technologies, ensuring that no two games are alike.
