About this board game

The Brigade is a 2018 action point system board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting around 40 minutes. In the burning city of Tinderbox, rival firehouses compete to protect citizens and earn the coveted position of Fire Chief.

A fire storm has appeared above the Pyromancers University, sending fireballs raining down across the city. As a firefighter, you must respond to the danger while building the public’s Loyalty through heroic acts of firefighting.

Each turn gives you several possible actions. Extinguishing fires is central to gaining loyalty, but careful development of your firehouse can make you more effective. You can upgrade the firehouse, increase the amount of crew you can hire, and improve your water wagon so it can tackle stronger fires.

• Upgrade your firehouse, crew capacity, and water wagon.
• Compete for the title of Fire Chief through earned respect and loyalty.

Winning the loyalty of Tinderbox’s citizens requires impressing them enough to gain their support. Earning respect from five blocks of the same type, or five blocks of different types, can secure your position. Alternatively, the player who earns respect from the highest and most prestigious people before one of the end-game triggers also claims the top spot.

With fires spreading, resources to improve, and rival firehouses seeking the same honor, The Brigade combines emergency response with a race for civic recognition. Choose when to fight fires, when to strengthen your station, and how to turn public respect into leadership.
