About this expansion

The Last Hundred Yards: Volume 5 – For King & Country is a tactical small-unit combat game for 1–2 players, with an approximate play time of 180 minutes. It presents ten/twelve missions set during the 1944 Normandy landings, the breakout from German occupation, and Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands.

Take command of British, Canadian, or German forces in missions spanning post-D-Day France and the Netherlands. The scenarios focus on the intense challenges faced by small units as British and Canadian forces fought to retake western Europe.

The volume also brings the British 1st Airborne—the famous “Red Devils”—into the Last Hundred Yards family. Their experience from parachute and glider operations in North Africa and Crete extends into airborne missions at Arnhem during Operation Market Garden, as well as actions behind German lines at the Caen Canal in the dark hours before D-Day.

  • Ten/twelve missions set during pivotal 1944 operations.
  • British, Canadian, and German forces in tactical small-unit combat.
  • Airborne missions involving British elite forces at Arnhem and the Caen Canal.
  • Scenarios covering Normandy, the French breakout, and the Netherlands.

For King & Country is designed as an expansion to the wider Last Hundred Yards system. Players must own The Last Hundred Yards Volumes 1 and 2 to play this volume, making it a focused addition for players ready to explore new British and Canadian missions in the European theater.

With its blend of ground combat and airborne operations, The Last Hundred Yards: Volume 5 – For King & Country brings a selection of historically themed missions from June through September 1944 to the tabletop.
