About this expansion
The Oracle of Delphi: Seafarer Expansion is a 2016 expansion for 2–4 players, adding two ship tiles and new options to the original game, which has a playing time of about 100 minutes.
Before starting, add the two new ship tiles to the original ship tiles. Distribute the tiles as described in the rule book, then use the expanded set during play.
The new ships introduce a special oracle-die function. During each of your turns, you may turn one oracle die to a color of your choice. After using this die, place it on the ship tile rather than in the center of the oracle to show that the tile’s function has been used.
This ability cannot be combined with an oracle card, creating a clear restriction around when the special ship function may be used. The expansion also changes your available storage capacity and gives you an offering at the beginning of the game.
- Two new ship tiles added to the original ship tiles
- One oracle die may be turned to a color of your choice during each turn
- The used die is placed on the ship tile to indicate its usage
- The special function cannot be combined with an oracle card
- Storage capacity increases to 3
- Begin the game with an offering of your choice from any island
At the start of the game, take one offering of your choice from any island and place it in your storage. In addition, cardboard tokens may be used in place of the wooden ships from the base game.
With its extra ship tiles, increased storage capacity, and additional starting offering, The Oracle of Delphi: Seafarer Expansion provides a compact rules addition for players who want to extend the original setup.
