The Pursuit of Happiness: Nostalgia is an expansion for 1–4 players with an approximately 90-minute playing time, released in 2023. It adds reminiscences: fond childhood memories, unfulfilled desires, and past dreams and aspirations that players can seek to revive.

Each player receives Nostalgia cards from the very beginning of the game. These double-sided cards represent personal memories and ambitions, encouraging players to plan ahead as they make choices throughout their pursuit of happiness.

Once a reminiscence’s requirements are met, it unlocks unique card types and gameplay options. This creates a reason to pursue particular goals over time while connecting present decisions with hopes and desires from the past.
