About this expansion

The Witcher: Old World – Wild Hunt is a cooperative expansion for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 150 minutes. It introduces a fully cooperative mode and a complete solo experience as players confront the fearsome Wild Hunt Riders.

Rumors of ghostly riders, missing children, crop failure, plague, and war spread across the land. In this expansion, the threat changes how the game unfolds: players move around the board simultaneously rather than taking turns, making planning an important part of every round.

Meeting another player no longer leads to a fight. Instead, players may work together through joint training or exchange gold, potions, and valuable information about nearby monsters. Cooperation becomes essential as the Wild Hunt’s influence grows.

  • Play cooperatively with up to five players or take on the full solo experience.
  • Plan simultaneous movement across the board.
  • Share gold, potions, and information while training together.
  • Confront Wild Hunt Riders, monsters, and Hounds across several rounds.

At the end of each round, the Wild Hunt summons new monsters or Hounds and moves around the board to attack the players. The pressure builds until the final clash, when everyone must join forces against Eredin, one of the Wild Hunt’s greatest warriors.

Eredin brings a set of unique and powerful attacks, making the concluding battle especially difficult. With its altered movement structure, shared resources, and demanding final encounter, The Witcher: Old World – Wild Hunt offers a tense new way to experience the game.
