Tide of Iron: Fury of the Bear

About this expansion

Tide of Iron: Fury of the Bear is a 2010 expansion for 2–4 players, with games lasting approximately 240 minutes. It takes the Tide of Iron experience to the Eastern Front, where players command German or Soviet forces as the war begins to shift.

The expansion is set against the backdrop of Operation Typhoon and the Soviet defense of Moscow. Germany has gained momentum through successes elsewhere, but Soviet forces push back before a counter-attack follows. Fury of the Bear brings this conflict to the table with new scenarios and a distinctly winter-focused setting.

At the heart of the expansion is the addition of an entirely new nation: the Soviet army. Nearly 100 Soviet plastic figures join new German figures, giving players expanded forces for their Eastern Front battles. The box also includes new tokens, cards, and nine Eastern Front map boards.
