About this expansion

Warhammer 40,000: Conquest – What Lurks Below is a two-player War Pack for games lasting about 45 minutes, released in 2016. It is the fourth pack in the Planetfall cycle, adding new cards and fresh reasons for each faction to fight.

The space hulk Kaerux Erameas has landed on Sacaellum, drawing a host of Tyranids toward the scent of blood. This setting introduces a conflict where the battle is shaped not only by the armies involved, but also by the goals each faction is pursuing.

What Lurks Below gives new significance to planet symbols, making them an important part of the war pack’s focus. The added cards invite players to fight for their faction’s goals while expanding the ways every faction can wage war.

  • A new Tyranids Genestealer warlord
  • An eight-card signature squad for that warlord
  • Fifty-one other cards to swell your armies
  • New significance for planet symbols
  • New reasons for every faction to fight

At the center of the pack is its new Tyranids Genestealer warlord and accompanying signature squad. Alongside these Tyranid additions, the remaining cards provide fresh options across the game’s factions, giving armies more ways to approach the struggle.

For players continuing the Planetfall cycle, Warhammer 40,000: Conquest – What Lurks Below adds a focused set of strategic possibilities and a dramatic new threat on Sacaellum. It expands the card pool while reinforcing the importance of faction goals and planet symbols in the fight.
