About this expansion

Streets of Fire: ASL Deluxe Module 1 is a two-player Advanced Squad Leader module for approximately 120 minutes of play, presenting street-fighting scenarios set on the Eastern Front.

This is the first module of Deluxe Advanced Squad Leader, rather than a new standalone game. Its defining difference from standard ASL is the size of the map hexes: at 2.2 inches across, they provide more room for counters and are large enough to accommodate 1/285th-scale miniatures.

The enlarged hexes offer a more spacious way to play ASL scenarios while preserving the connection to the wider system. Streets of Fire focuses that format on urban combat, with scenarios depicting fighting in Eastern Front streets.

  • Designed for 2 players
  • Approximately 120 minutes of play
  • 2.2-inch map hexes
  • Room for counters or 1/285th-scale miniatures
  • Eastern Front street-fighting scenarios

The scenarios for this module can be downloaded from the Multi-Man Publishing website. To use Streets of Fire: ASL Deluxe Module 1, players need Advanced Squad Leader and Beyond Valor: ASL Module 1.

Released in 1985, Streets of Fire expands Advanced Squad Leader with a deluxe presentation built around larger maps and a focused collection of urban Eastern Front scenarios. It is a useful addition for ASL players who want more space for their game pieces while exploring street combat in the Deluxe ASL format.
