About this expansion

Marvel United: Civil War is a 2024 expansion for 2–6 players that transforms Marvel United into a direct player-versus-player battle between rival teams of Heroes.

After a tragic Super Hero operation causes many casualties, the Superhuman Registration Act is ratified. The law forces heroes to reveal their secret identities and accept government oversight, dividing once-allied heroes into opposing camps.

Iron Man supports the policy and gathers Pro-Registration heroes to enforce it. Captain America believes heroes should remain beyond direct government control, leading Anti-Registration heroes who become outlaws and form the Secret Avengers. With villains absent, the conflict centers entirely on the heroes themselves.

This expansion introduces two distinct ways to play the Civil War conflict:

• Clash of Heroes: a more casual mode where two teams of Heroes face one another.
• Registration Clash: a more competitive, asymmetrical, and thematic mode built around the opposing sides of the registration dispute.

Choose the team that matches your view of the Superhuman Registration Act, then face the heroes who once fought beside you. Whether you prefer the more approachable Clash of Heroes or the sharper tension of Registration Clash, Marvel United: Civil War offers a new way to experience the setting without a Villain on the board.
