Tang Garden: The Herbalist is a multi-language limited-edition promotional character for Tang Garden, for 1–4 players with a playing time of about 60 minutes.

Inspired by a Chinese herbal medicine student during the Tang Dynasty, the Herbalist brings the era’s remarkable medical knowledge and enduring search for an elixir of everlasting life into the garden. Her special ability centers on a limited supply of herb tokens.

By spending an herbs token, the Herbalist can give new life to other characters in play, allowing their abilities to be used whenever she wants. This creates powerful opportunities, but careful timing matters: her supply is limited, and you must pass one turn to regain all of the tokens.

The Herbalist also offers a different path to reward. If special temple tiles appear in her line of sight at the end of the game, her ability can help the player gain a large number of coins. Her strength comes with an important balance between immediate character effects, limited resources, and the timing needed to restore them.
