About this expansion

1st & Goal: Mideast Division is a 2011 expansion for 2–4 players, with an approximately 60-minute play time. It adds 28 custom dice representing four teams from the Dice Football League’s Mideast division.

Each team arrives with its own profile of running, passing, and defensive strengths. The Birmingham Black Widows stand out for top-ten running and passing games, but their defense is ranked near the bottom. Their offense is their clear priority, while the defensive squad relies heavily on volunteers.

• Columbus Cobras: A top-ten running game, a 16th-ranked passing game, and a consistent ninth-ranked defense.
• Scranton Scorchers: A seventh-ranked running game and top-eleven defense, balanced against a 19th-ranked passing game.
• Toronto Thunder: A top-ten defense paired with a 17th-ranked running game and a bottom-ranked passing game.

The Cobras’ running attack is led by Cole Kutz, while the Scorchers feature wide receiver Buddy Fingers and a defense that coach Gus Tufwin compares to a hurricane. Toronto’s quarterback, Cuba Sugar, is known for his willingness to take a hit, and the Thunder promise surprise plays despite their weak offensive rankings.

With its four custom teams, 1st & Goal: Mideast Division broadens the league with contrasting team identities and memorable personalities. The expansion gives the 1st & Goal setting four more DFL franchises to add to its growing collection of football-themed dice teams.
