Mice and Mystics: Off Toppers is a promotional weapon card for 1–4 players, designed for 60-minute sessions and released in 2014.

This card is included when buying Downwood Tales from the Plaid Hat Games site. Off Toppers is a sharp, melee weapon that can be used by a Warrior or Tinkerer, giving the equipped mouse a +1 bonus to battle value.

The weapon’s bonus increases to +2 when the mouse using it is sharing a space with another mouse. This condition rewards close positioning and makes the card especially notable when multiple mice occupy the same space.

When attacking, the user chooses two minions on the same space as the attacking mouse or on an adjacent space. The attack then separates its results: all melee hits are applied against one chosen minion, while all ranged hits are applied against the other.

Each minion defends separately, preserving a distinct resolution for both targets. This gives the card a clearly defined multi-target attack effect while retaining separate defenses for the minions involved.

As a promotional addition, Mice and Mystics: Off Toppers provides a focused equipment option for eligible characters and a rules-driven way to direct different hit types toward two nearby minions.
