King’s Forge: Gold

About this expansion

King’s Forge: Gold is a 2018 expansion for 2–5 players that adds lavish crafting options and new scenarios to King’s Forge, with games lasting about 80 minutes.

A new age of prosperity has transformed the kingdom. Gold has been discovered in nearby underground caverns, the merchant class and nobility demand finer craftsmanship, and Queen Gertrude’s Jubilee gifts may soon be available to the public. Beneath the celebration, however, a darker influence is beginning to spread.

This mini-expansion introduces lustrous gold dice and luxurious new items to the crafting game. It adds 39 items to the main crafting deck, including all 30 original Queen’s Jubilee expansion items, which have been re-balanced and ranked for use in the main deck. Some new crafting requirements even exceed 6+.

Modular rules and scenarios let players tailor the experience. Options can make casual play more forgiving by addressing loss aversion and wasted effort, speed up the game by giving everyone a Gold die, or change the decision space with new victory goals.

Players may craft for a Guild or race to create a Dragonfly Charm, offering fresh challenges for returning fans and an exciting entry point for newcomers. With its expanded item deck, thematic locations, and flexible scenarios, King’s Forge: Gold brings new wealth—and new dangers—to the realm.
