King’s Forge: Ring of the Lords Kickstarter Exclusive Craft Card

About this expansion

King’s Forge: Ring of the Lords Kickstarter Exclusive Craft Card is a promotional crafting card for the 2–4-player game King’s Forge, released in 2014.

This card was provided exclusively to backers of the 2013 King’s Forge Kickstarter campaign. It features the Ring of the Lords, identified as craft item #95, and gives original campaign backers a distinctive addition to their King’s Forge card collection.

The Ring of the Lords has the following crafting requirements:

• Metal: 6
• Gem: 5
• Magic: 5

The card is notable not only for its exclusive distribution, but also for its place in the wider King’s Forge product line. In the 2018 King’s Forge: Gold expansion, a new craft item card numbered #95 was introduced under the name Precious Ring.

The Precious Ring uses the exact same crafting requirements as the Kickstarter-exclusive Ring of the Lords, while featuring slightly modified artwork. This gives later adopters access to the play space associated with card #95 without replacing the original promotional item.

As a result, King’s Forge: Ring of the Lords Kickstarter Exclusive Craft Card remains a distinct Kickstarter reward for backers, while the later Precious Ring provides a corresponding option in the 2018 expansion. It is a focused promotional item defined by its exclusive release, numbered card identity, and clearly stated Metal, Gem, and Magic requirements.
