About this expansion

ASL Action Pack #5: East Front is a two-player ASL scenario bundle for games of approximately 240 minutes, featuring 12 scenarios set across the Eastern Front from 1941 through 1945.

The scenarios represent actions ranging from the opening of Barbarossa to the bitter end of the war. They take place in locations across Russia, Slovakia, Poland, Yugoslavia, and Austria, offering a chronological selection of East Front engagements for veteran ASL players.

The package includes three new ASL geomorphic mapboards, numbered 56, 57, and 58. All 12 scenarios feature these new maps, providing the battlefield foundations for encounters with varied dates, locations, and scenario lengths.

  • AP41–AP43: 1941 actions at Lutsk, Skaudvila, and Podvyssokoya-Peregonorka
  • AP44–AP48: battles from Stalingrad and Kruzhilin through Taranovka, Storozhevoe, and Werchopenje
  • AP49–AP52: 1944–1945 actions at Banska Bystricka, Olszak, Sid, and St. Polten

Scenario playing times range from five to seven and a half turns. Titles include The Meat Grinder, Escape from Encirclement, The Burial Mound, Panzergeist, and Into Vienna Woods.

Using the scenarios requires the listed ASL modules, including For King and Country, Yanks, West of Alamein, Code of Bushido, Armies of Oblivion, Last Hurrah/Doomed Battalions, Croix de Guerre, and AP3, Few Returned. With its focused East Front setting and new mapboards, ASL Action Pack #5: East Front is designed to expand the scenario options available to experienced ASL players.
