ASL Annual ’93b is a 1993 Advanced Squad Leader annual for 2 players, combining articles, scenarios, map overlays, and a mini-HASL campaign focused on the fighting around Gavutu, Tanambogo, and Gaomi.

The centerpiece is Sand & Blood, a campaign game covering the American assault on tiny islands off Tulagi during the first phase of the Solomon Islands and Guadalcanal operation in 1942. Gavutu and Tanambogo were linked by a 300-yard concrete-and-coral causeway, while Japanese SNLF troops defended fortified positions and caves against the invading US Marines.

Alongside the six-page background article, the annual includes three island map overlays for Gavutu, Tanambogo, and Gaomi, designed to be placed over Ocean overlays. Players also receive a Japanese setup play aid sheet and a two-page After Action Report, supporting the campaign and its historical presentation.
