Age of Steam Expansion: Moon and Berlin Wall is a collection of two expansions for Age of Steam, supporting 2–6 players and games of about 120 minutes.

The Moon expansion places the railway on a spherical game board. Track can be built off one edge and connected to the opposite side, while play changes through the moon’s Night & Day phases. Players must begin by building from the central hex, which counts as a city but has no color or goods, or from cities connected to it.

• The Engineer action allows three pieces of track to be built.
• The Low Gravitation action lets a player use one link belonging to another player during the goods and movement phases.

The Berlin Wall expansion introduces a different challenge. Goods can travel between east and west only through holes in the wall, created by removing red track markers. Its new Engineer action allows a player either to build three pieces of track or remove one red track marker from the board.

Red cubes represent the Soviet Army, while blue cubes represent American, British, and French forces. Movement of these cubes is restricted until the round marker reaches the red player marker placed at the beginning of the game. Once that point is reached, all movement restrictions are removed.

First released in limited editions, these two expansions are gathered together in a box that can hold many Age of Steam expansion maps. Age of Steam Expansion: Moon and Berlin Wall reimplements Age of Steam Expansion: The Moon and Age of Steam Expansion: Washington DC and The Berlin Wall, offering two contrasting settings built around track construction, access, and restricted routes.
